Saying 13

Jesus said to his disciples,

“Compare me to someone and tell me whom I am like.”

Simon Peter said to him, “You are like a righteous angel.”

Matthew said to him, “You are like a wise philosopher.”

Thomas said to him, “Master, my mouth is wholly incapable to saying whom you are like.”

Jesus said, “I am not your (sg.) master. Because you (sg.) have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring which I have measured out.” And he took him and withdrew, and told him three things. When Thomas returned to his companions, they asked him, "What did Jesus say to you?"

Thomas said to them, “If I tell you one of the things which he told me, you will pick up stones and throw them at me; a fire will come out of the stones and burn you upbeing."

 

When you will read Logion 83, you will see that Jesus says : "The images are revealed to man , and the light which is in them is hidden in this image of the light of the father ".

What image the disciples have they of Jesus?

Jesus is the Image of the alive God, but who could The images are revealed to man , and the light which is in them is hidden to see God by looking at Jesus? The light hid in the image..

Jesus was a man as the other men. Its appearance had nothing different. Nevertheless, in this image which all could see, there was God who hid.

One day Jesus said to His disciples: " the one who saw me, saw the Father ".

Jesus was a God in a normal man.

Then naturally that Jesus was resembling to an angel just as says it Peter. The word "angel", it is the same word as "the a messenger". Jesus was, with Peter's eyes, a just messenger. A messenger of just God.

With the eyes of Matthew, Jesus likes a wise philosopher. And it is not false.

But the light had not appeared to them yet.

We always tend to repeat what was said to us. We say that, according to Gospel, it is Peter who had in the first one the revelation of the divinity of Jesus. However it is false.

 

Gospel learn us that it is Nathanael who had in the first one this revelation. John 1/49.

It seems that the light rather appeared to Thomas this day. But he didn't dare to say it. It seemed to him so amazing!

Then Jesus says to him: " I am not your master … " In fact, Jesus says to him: " I am not your Master, I am more than it, I am your friend because for all things that i have heard from my Father i have made known to you " John 15/15.

Thomas had understood who was Jesus, this man who was held in front of him. He had understood him because he had drunk and had "become intoxicated from the bubbling spring". which is the mouth of Jesus, The Word, Logos, the Verb become flesh.

Three words that Jesus said to Thomas in secret are doubtless:

 Father

Soon

Spirit.

Isaiah the prophet had announced it: " a Child is born, to us; a SON is given to us one His names shall be called Wonderfull, Counselor,The mighty God, The everlasting FATHER " … Isaiah 9/5.

Today, Jesus died and resurrected . He rose to the heaven and He lives in us by His SPIRIT.

Thomas had seen The FATHER in the SON. And Jesus spoke to him about the SPIRIT which was going to come.
Such a revelation could be very dangerous for this period. The religious stoned to death for less that it.

 

Thomas was thus careful by saying nothing to the other disciples.

Today, Jesus is always in the heaven. He gave us the Holy Spirit so that we continued the work which He began there is two thousand years on the earth.

He prolongs Its days by us who really believe in Him. Isaiah. 53/10

When a person is full of the Holy Spirit she can live and do the same works as Jesus lived and done formerly on the earth.

And even of greater still ! John 14/12
