SIN

Sin means ''to miss the goal''. He who sins will reach death and not life. To sin, is to fail to do what God tells us to do willingly. See Confess. Forgiveness.

The sin of Adam and Eve did not come as a surprise to God. This is because God had given a law, to be transgressed. if Eve and Adam had not transgressed this law, God would never have manifested his virtue of Savior. He would never have manifested his virtu of compassion. Adam and Eve should therefore not be blamed. Neither should be. This was all part of the plan of the perfect salvation decided before the foundation of the world. Eph 1/4.

We are in this world where sin entered. Death likewise entered this world. We have to return to God who draws His people, and to be established in our position of Lord. We must dominate all things in this world in the name of Jesus-Christ. Gn 1/28. That we dominate was the plan of God. It is always in the plan of God. But in order to dominate according to God, we must first break with sin, renounce evil. It is only possible through the new-birth. See Born again.  Keys

He who covers his transgressions will not prosper Prov 28/13. The sinners will die and the righteous will be saved Ez 18. Jesus-Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world Jn 1/29 see Lamb of God. Be baptised and wash your sins Acts 22/16. See Baptism. The wages of sin, is death Rm 6/23. He who knows what is good and does not do it, commits a sin Jm 4/17. See Lord's Supper.

Jesus, the Logos, the Verb, the Light is the son of that God. Moreover Jesus-Christ is the only son of God, because the cells of his blood are divine, God being the Father.

Adam too was the son of God Lk 3/38. But he is the son of the Logos, of the Verb, of the Light. Adam is son of God because he has been created the first of the creation. The Word has created all things and all that exists in this created system has been created by the word and for the word. Col 1/16. That's why Adam is also the son of God, but not like Jesus-Christ. Jesus, the Word, is unique.

The cell of the blood of Adam was earthly matter, taken from the dust. It is why Jesus-Christ is the begotten son of God: God come in the flesh, the Unique!

SINAI.

The mount Sinai is located in the Sinai peninsula. God wanted Moses to bring the people there. They camped for three months at the foot of the mount just after leaving Egypt. This mount is also called the mount Horeb Ex 3/1. There, God gave his law to His people and the Tabernacle was built Ex 19/2. 20/18. 24/12. 32/15.

SING see hymn.

Sing to Yahweh 1Chron 16/23-26. Ps 30/5 The night where Jesus was arrested Matt 26/30.

SISTER.

See brother. Since God is our Father, it is normal that among children of God we consider each other as authentic brothers and sisters.

The female disciples are thus called: sisters. Whoever does the will of my Father, is my brother and my sister Matt 12/50. Mk 3/35.

SON OF MAN.

Jesus referred to Himself as the son of man Lk 9/22. Lk 21/36. Adam means man. Jesus-Christ was the second True-Man, the second Adam. 1Cor 15/45-47. In Rm 15/12-21, the first Adam is responsible for sin, he hecomes the fallen man, he is no longer the True-Man that he was in the beginning and he is contrasted with Adam N2 of Rm 5/15. It is by this second Adam, by this only True-Man worthy of this name, that the righteous can reign in the life. Rm 5/17. Phil 2/6 presents Jesus-Christ similar to Adam, to the Man, but unfallen. Jesus willingly humbled himself, taking upon Himself our sins.

He obeyed and fell and was abased to the extreme Phil 2/8, so that later, having carried our sins, he may recover his divine dignity.

SON OF PERDITION.

See satan. Devil.  Etc...

They are the partisans of the devil. Those who don't follow the Lord Jesus-Christ. They are those who have been cast from the third heaven during the pre-mortal life. Judas was a son of perdition, Jn 17/12. See Cain.

SONG OF SONGS. OT

It is a book of the Bible which we believe to be inspired and dictated by God.

SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF GOD.

See child. We are all sons of God, since He is the creator of all. Those who have the devil as a spiritual father are nevertheless of God since the devil himself has been created by God. Ezek 28/13. When we say that the devil has been created, it means that his spirit has been introduced in the created system. The spirits are not, so to speak, created. They enter the system which God has created. In this respect, God is the father of the spirits Heb 12/9. When the spirits have entered this created system, they have all received responsibilities. The names of each were written in the book of life.

Some of them, about a third, rebelled against God who lives transcending this creation Heb 9/11. These spirits will be forever lost as has been decided by God Himself while He was forming them for perdition, in this created system. Rm 8/22.

The names of these spirits are no more in the book of life. God does not know them as his children.

The spirits who did not rebel against God are his sons and his daughters chosen ever since the foundation of the world. Their names are in the book of life.

God, who does not live in this system of creation, enjoys all rights and no one can contest. He may still take away the names which are now in the book of life. Rev 3/5.

The words ''still'' and ''now'' which I use in my sentence can't be used in the Presence of God who lives beyond time. Undoubtedly, this is very difficult to grasp: God knows everything of all Eternity, but He acts in the time which is ours, and that he has created, to accomplish in this created reality what he had always had in Himself. He does not take away a name of the book of life on a impulse.

If he takes a name away, it is because he always knew that He would take it away and the time has come to take it away, and that is all.

Well, this calls us to the sanctification which will finally prove who we are.

SOUL. See Flesh

The soul is the living being. The soul results from the union of the body and the spirit which comes to dwell in this body. Gn 2/7.

The soul is not eternal, but it can receive the eternal life. Jn 1/12-13. See Adoption.

If the soul does not receive after having heard about him properly, it commits the sin of incredulity and the soul which sins will die. THE soul is thus mortal. Ezek 18/4.

SPIRIT. See Flesh.

The spirit is what God has breathed in us at birth. We then became living souls. See soul.

Our spirit existed before our birth. And when we die, it returns to God Ecc 12/9. See Physical death.

It is this spirit within us, which connects our soul and our body to God.

Our spirit existed before we were born. It will exist after our death, but separated from our body till the resurrection.

There are people who are possessed by the fallen spirits. These people are the sons of the devil. They cannot be saved. They came on earth to be condemned. See Devil. Serpent, Seed

(A bad spirit may come and dwell in a person without truly being this person. We then speak of a possessed person. I can be delivered of this evil spirit. Jesus has taught that we can repel the demons Mk 16/17. A bad spirit is a demon. Demon means half a God. They are spirits who follow the devil in his rebellion against God.)

Our spirit lives by itself whereas our body without the spirit cannot live. Let me say it again: the spirit and the physical body form the soul. Gen 2/7. Jm 2/26 says that the body without the soul is dead. This is obvious since the soul exists only through the fusion of the spirit and of the body. If the soul is not there anymore, it means that the spirit has left.

The first death is the separation of the spirit and of the body. At the resurrection, the spirit and the body will reunite and will never be separated. It is the immortality of the body, the adoption, the perfection.

The second death is the total destruction of the fallen spirits. Rev 20/14-15.

A spirit has neither flesh nor bones Lk 24/39. The Holy Spirit talks to our spirit. Rm 8/16. We have to glorify God in our body as well as our spirit 1Cor 6/20.

There are many fallen spirits who have not yet received the permission to come incarnate on this earth. They then seek to possess the people or the animals. Jesus cast them out. Mk 1/27., 34, 39. Mk 5/2-13.

(The demons can also dwell in the animals. Matt 8/30. There are also places, cities, which are under the pressure of some evil spirits. In general, It is because these places have been dedicated to demonic powers. The true Christians have the authority, in the name of the Lord Jesus-Christ, to chase these impure spirits.)

When a person is baptised with water in the name of the Lord Jesus-Christ, she is baptised in the name (singular) of the Father, of the son and of the Holy Spirit. Since this name is Jesus. Matt 28/19.

If a person is baptised with the belief that she is baptised in the names of three distinct persons, the baptism has no value before God, since it is not based on the Holy Scriptures. Such a person must be baptised properly since, in Truth, there is only one baptism which is the true baptism. Eph 4/5. See Baptism. The baptism of water is very holy and must be practiced with great care. If you have not been 'baptised' strictly according to the scriptures, you have not been well baptised and you must be baptised. (your intentions do not count; it is the obedience which shows your real dedication to God and his holy Word.) Remember Cain who offered a sacrifice to God, but was not aligned with the will of God. Don't take it lightly. Gn 4/4-5.

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an immersion in the Lord. For the first disciples of Jesus-Christ, It was clear that a person had received the baptism in the Holy Spirit when they heard speak in tongues. Acts 10/46

In this text, the mot ''SINCE'' is very significant.

Now, to speak in non-learnt tongues does not prove that someone has been baptised in the Holy Spirit. The demons imitate all these things. On the other hand, he cannot imitate the love. A person baptised in the Holy Spirit manifests more and more the personality of the Lord Jesus-Christ. Gal 5/22-23.

A disciple of Jesus-Christ must be renewed in the Holy Spirit Acts 4/27-31.

Now, if you see that a disciple of Jesus commits a mistake or cannot manifest the fruit of the Spirit, you cannot judge. But you are asked to forgive and to continue to love them. You will thus prove that you are filled with the Holy Spirit and not with the spirit of this world.

SPIRITUAL DARKNESS.

Unfortunately, the very place where we expect to find the light is where the darkness is often the thickest. The religions have spread many false beliefs which have plunged the people in the darkness Is 60/2. Hence, many people could never hear the correct testimony about who is Jesus-Christ and why he went straight to the evil side of the underworld. But God is good! these billions of people now hear the Gospel preach where they sit, in the darkness Lk 1/79 1 Pt 4-6. Jesus-Christ came on the earth and under the earth so that the Light shines. See baptism. Death. Dispensation. Ordinances. Restoration. 1 Pt 3/19-20.

STEPHEN. N.T.

Stephen was a witness, that is a martyr to the Lord Jesus-Christ. (Martyr, in Greek, means witness.) Paul attended his lapidation to death See Paul. Acts 8/1; 22/20. Stephen was one of the seven men who helped the apostles Acts 6/1-8. He was accompanied of great signs and miracles Acts 6/8. His discussion with the Jews Ac 6/9-10. Accused and judged Ac 6/11. He defends himself Ac 7/2-53. He sees Jesus on the right hand side of God Ac 7/55-56. He is lapidated because of his testimony. Ac 7/54-60.

SYNAGOGUE.

It is the place where the believers meet. When the Christians say: ''we are going to the assembly.'' they say ''we go to the synagogue.'' The Hebrew word of this Greek word is knesset ''house of the assembly''.

The synagogue was born in Babylon during the exile of the Jewish people. Actually, they had no more Temple, they had done their best to gather together around the Word of God. The synagogue was then the substitute of the Temple which had been destroyed. But when the Jews returned to their land, they brought back this institution with them. The synagogue worked in a good relation with the Temple. At the time of the destruction of the second Temple, in Jerusalem, around 480 synagogues were active.

Concerning the synagogues in Christian areas, they are mentioned in the first and second age of the Church: the age of Smyrna. See Church. The Christians having already deserted their first love in the first age Rev 2/4, had to suffer in the hands of the people who belonged to the assembly of Satan Rev 2/9. The communities of life became more and more closed and were not more than places of worship, places of assembly, or synagogues. Jesus-Christ is not tender with them Rev 3/9. These assemblies of Satan referred to in the book of Revelation are not the Jewish synagogue, but indeed the so-called Christian synagogues.
