PUBLICAN. N.T.
The publicans were tax collectors who worked for the sake of Rome. The Jews did not like them. Several publicans have received Jesus-Christ as Savior and Master Matt 9/9-10. Lk 19/2-8.
The
New Jerusalem has a pyramidal shape Rev 21/16. Its basis is a square
shape.
In
this form, we mainly find the seven virtues that the Spouse must add to her
faith. The foundation is thus:
Faith
upon which we add
virtue
(or force)
then
knowledge,
then
self-control,
then
patience,
then
piety,
then
fraternal affection.
It is on basis of the fraternal affection that Love which is supreme, will come, i.e Jesus-Christ Himself. 2 Pt 1/1-8.
Jesus-Christ
will crown only a perfect Bride, having the seven virtues of 2 Pt 1/5-8.
The
pyramidal shape also contains the seven angels of Rev 2 and 3, i.e.:
Paul
for Ephesus
Irenee
for Smyrna
Martin
for Pergamum
Colomba
for Thyatira
Luther
for Sardis
Wesley
for Philadelphia
Elie
for Laodicea

There
must be no quarrel between disciples of Jesus-Christ. Let there be no quarrel
between you and me Gn 13/8. The quarrels come where pride is found
Prov 13/10. In the community of the Lord, if there is a motive, whatsoever,
to complain about anybody, the absolute rule is the immediate forgiveness, so
that Jesus-christ be the Master Col 3/13. Everybody should be wise in
order to avoid quarrels Tit 3/9.
Qumram
is located 8 miles south of Jericho. There are only ruins in this place and
within a short distance, on the bank of the Dead sea, there is a cliff.
There
are caves in this cliff and a young sheperd discovered the manuscripts inside.
In 1951, excavations were started in this place.
Thse
manuscripts have been translated and are collected in a book entitled ''the
intertestamentary writings''. These are of the only writings God gave to his
people in this age of Laodicea. See angel.

Gipsy
Pastor Gitan, husband of Violette. He and his wife came to Switzerland to preach
the Gospel, in 1968, in the House of the People of Lausanne. On june 1, 1968,
after the preaching of Raphael, I gave my heart to Jesus-Christ. I shall be
eternally grateful to this couple for coming to announce the Gospel with fidelity
and power. The complete story of this fact is told in the book Le Veilleur.
We
always remained friends. It is also Raphael who announced the Gospel in Auvergne,
where the family Chaffraix was living, who converted during the spiritual revivals.
Michle Chaffraix became my precious wife a few years later in 1974.
RAPHAEL.
Hebrew name meaning ''God heals''. It is the name of an angel we find in the apocryphal book of Tobias 3/16-17. It is possible that one of the seven angels of Rev 8/2 is Raphael. Tobias 12/15. One finds the seven angels of the Powers, Raphael, Michael, Gabriel, Sariel, Ouriel, Ragouel and Remiel in 1 Henoc 20/1-8. We also find Raphael, the angel appointed fo all the human sicknesses and plagues 1 Henoc 40/9.
REBECCA. O.T.
She was the wife of Isaac Gn 24 to 27. She was the mother of Jacob and Esau Gn 25/32-26.
Rebellion
is an attitude of defiance toward Jesus-Christ. In general, it is not manifested
directly. The rebel will refuse to follow the ministry which God has given to
the local Church. He accuses and allow himself to disobey openly the Word of
God. God often tests the people this way. If Today's Christians had to take
position having Paul or Moses or David as messengers of God, they would have
so many grievances that it would be easy for them to be rebels and justify themselves.
Not
to rebel against the Eternal Nb 14/9. An evil man seeks only rebellion

It is the sea which separates Egypt from Arabia. The Sinai peninsula is north of the Red sea. The Lord miraculously opened the Red Sea to let his people go and swallow the Egyptian army. Ex 14/13-31. Heb 11/29.
Jesus-Christ
has redeemed us. He is our redeemer. It is Him who paid the ramson so that we
can be liberated from the grip of the enemy on our souls. The Price which Jesus-christ
has paid has been his own life. He is our redeemer, who redeemed us. He has
paid the Price and nothing can be added to what he has done for our salvation.
The sacrifice of Jesus-Christ took place only once and cannot be renewed. It
is perfectly sufficient for the salvation of whoever wants to believe.

Confess. Forgiveness of the sins. It
is God who gives the possibility to repent. 2 Tim 2/25. Rm 2/4. Acts 11/18.
He who repents according to God does not lament over himself, regretting
his sins who brought to him all sorts of misfortunes. He cries for insulting
God and transgressing his good laws. The true repentance implies to turn away
from evil and start to follow God with a good heart, willingly accepting His
will expressed in the Bible. The true repentance is the product of discovering
the Love of God. It is not because you have repented that you are saved. You
are saved because Jesus-Christ has carried your sins on the cross. It is the
revelation of this Love manifested which pushes you to the true repentance.
Only those who can be accepted by God repent. All the rest is but sentiments
coming from an evil conscience. The true repentance is always followed by the
ardent desire to give up the sin by the Love for God.

they need to repent Acts 17/30. Godly grief produces a repentance which
leads to salvation 2 Cor 7/10.
