We
know that the light is energy, the power and the divine influence. We know that
it is God. Jn 1/9. We come to the Light when we come to Jesus-Christ
Jn 3/19-21. We were children of God of all eternity. We have been voluntarily
lost by God on this earth. We have lived as the sons of the devil were living,
under their influence and the influence of the prince of this world. Eph
2/3. Our fallen and thus carnal nature did not make any difference with
the children of anger. But God loved us. Who was loving whom? His own people.
Jn 10/3. And he came in the flesh to seek his people. He made us pass
from darkness to the Light. See Babylon.
Christians.
Fall of Adam and Eve. Commandment.
Divorce. Enmity.
Yet, the works that the children of God were doing while in the darkness were
made in God. Jn 3/21. A child of God, before his rebirth, is already
a child of God, but he is lost. His actions have been predestined so that God
may gain glory for all things by purifying his child of all sins by pure grace.
And where sin abounded, the grace superabounded. Rm 5/20. Read well
Jn 3/21. And ask the question: who comes to the Light? the answer is:
The one who comes in the darkness!
When
a child whom God who has been lost on earth, comes to the Light, to Jesus-Christ,
it is to manifest that all that has been made in the darkness was made in God.
Here
we see that God holds all things in His hands and that the devil is doing a
job which deceits him. See Lucifer.
I
shall give you the Biblical example of the sons of Jacob.
They
were all children of God. They were not of the seed of the serpent.
When
they sold their brother Joseph to the Egyptians, they sinned seriously. Yet,
at the end, Joseph told them they had acted in God, doing, in the darkness the
work that God wanted them to do. Gen 45/5-9. And God had warned Joseph
in advance of what would happen. Gen 37/5-11. If you don't always believe
that God is almighty and that he has control of everything, think as you want.
This is also, undoubtedly, predestined...
Jesus-Christ
is the Light Jn 12/46.
The
Eternal is my Light Ps 27/1. We have to march in the Light Is 60/19.
Jesus-Christ is the Light of the world Jn 8/12. The children of God
are the Light of the world. Matt 5/14. Unfortunately the children of
this century are more prudent in relation to their own generation than are the
children of the Light. Lk 16/8. This has been showed throughout centuries
by the wickedness the children of God can show among themselves.
We
are eternal. But our spirit came to dwell in a body which has the mark of the
fall. When our spirit entered our body, this resulted in the creation of the
soul Gn 2/7. But our soul is lost, in other words: separated from God.
Our spirit is thus captive in this system of death and the day when it is found by Jesus-Christ, the good sheperd, it is given life, returned to the life. ''He made us alive'' Eph 2:5. This means that we were already alive before Col 2/13. When Jesus-Christ died on the cross, it is his body and soul which died. But his Spirit was made living and it is in Spirit, in the Spirit that he went to preach to the spirits in prison 1 Pt 3/18-20
The
first Adam was a living being, i.e. a living soul. Jesus-Christ, the second
Adam is more! He became a life-giving spirit. 1 Cor 15/45.
In
other words, Adam gave death, whereas Jesus-Christ gives the life.
A person born again is a person given life by Jesus-Christ. Jn 3/3. And every man and every woman born again becomes like the Spirit; the unbelievers cannot know where they come from, and where they go. Jn 3/8. A disciple of Jesus-Christ is like the Spirit, he knows where he comes from and where he goes. A disciple of Jesus-Christ knows that he has an eternal past.
LORD.
It
is the title we give to God. Only God may be be called Lord. He is our Supreme
Master.
You will love the Lord your God Matt 4/10. Lk 4/8. Tell them what the Lord did for you Mk 5/19. There is only one Lord, Jesus-Christ 1 Cor 8/6. There is only one Lord, only one faith, only one baptism Eph 4/5. The Lord Himself will come down from heaven 1 Thess 4/16.
It is the prayer that Jesus-Christ gave to His disciples as a model so that they can pray in any occasion. Matt 6/9-13.
But
It is also a prayer that God is making for us, who are His children.
''My
sons and daughters who are on earth, your name be sanctified.''
For
it is His name that we bear, being His bride.
''Your
kingdom come''
For
it is with Him that we are called to rule in the world to come.
''Your
Will be done on earth as it is in heaven.''
For
those who do His will thus show that they are the sons and daughters of God.
This good will must be done on the earth, as the good will is always done in
heaven.
''Give
Me this day my daily bread.''
For
God is the consumer of our faith in action. Our active faith is a food to Him.
''Forgive
My offences as I forgive yours.''
For
there are things God permits which can make us suffer. Peter, for instance,
could not escape denying His Master, this can be offending, but necessary for
the Glory of God. In His Love God wants us to know that He does not rejoice
over the evils which often reach the just and offend him. Everything is under
the control of God and He does not always keep the obstacles and the griefs
from us.
''And
lead me not into temptation.''
For
God has sometimes been tempted to destroy his people.
''But
deliver me from the evil one.''
For
it is in Communion with Him that we destroy the evil. God and us are together
to fight evil. When we resist evil, we do so with the help of God. And God is
very interested by this fight which delivers us from evil, from the presence
of Satan.
'For
yours is the kingdom and the power of the glory forever. Amen!''
For
whatever belongs to the father belongs to the son and have become joint heirs
of this is all in Jesus-Christ.
I
say this to you so that you can think about what is the Communion between the
father and His children. I don't make a doctrine of it.
Today,
the disciples of Jesus-Christ, like those of the Community of Jerusalem, take
the Lord's supper in the evening, at the table, during the fraternal meal. The
Lord's supper is an act of faith which we offer as a memorial for what Jesus-Christ
has done on the cross in our place. See
cross. Sacrifice.
The
unleavened bread which has been prepared by a brother or a sister of the Community
is broken. It represents the flesh of our Lord Jesus-Christ, our God who was
incarnated to come and die on the cross.
The
red wine symbolizes the divine blood that Jesus-Christ shed to expiate for our
sins 1 Cor 11/23-29.
The
Lord's supper takes place after the Washing of the feet. See Wash.
Therefore, when we have all settled our disputes with one another and with God,
we can eat and drink.
Each
should eat, and each should drink.
No
one should go without. If anyone does not eat or drink, it is a sign that this
person is in need of help. One or several elders of the Community can help and
settle the trouble after hearing a confession. See
Sin. Confess. The Lord's supper
is an Ordinance. See Ordinances.
To take the Lord's Supper in a way which is not worthy is a serious sin
1 Cor 11/27. To take the Lord's Supper without discerning the body of the
Lord, is denying that the person or people who take it with us are the children
of God. It is as if we kept grudges against a brother for whom Christ is dead.
When we take the Lord's Supper, we should thus judge ourselves and not the others. And when we judge ourselves, it is with the intention of condemning oneself and abstaining from the Lord's Supper, it is rather with the goal of realizing where we are and of putting things in order with God and with all the others. 1 Cor 11/23-33.
The soldiers distributed Jesus garment at the foot of the cross casting lots Matt 27/35. Ps 22/17. Mk 15/20. Lk 23/34. Jn 19/24.
The
eleven disciples drew lots to chose the one who would take the position of Judas
as an apostle Acts 1/23-26. See
Urim and Thummim.
LOVE.
God proved His Love by giving love first and he so much loved us that He came in the flesh and died on the cross instead of us. Jn 3/16. The true disciple of Jesus-Christ is called to give his own life through love for his brothers. 1Jn 3/16.
Jesus quoted this wonderful sentence of Moses: ''You will love your neighbour as yourself'' Lev 19/18. Matt 5/43-44. Matt 22/37-40. Rm 13/9.
The
first commandment is to love God Deut 6/5. God chastises those whom
he loves Pro 3/12. We have received an order (and not an advice), and
it is to love one another as Jesus has loved us. Jn 13/34.
We
prove to God that we love Him when we do what He says, Jn 14/15. The greatest
love is to give one's life for those whom we love Jn 15/13. No one has
the power to separate us from the Love of Christ Rm 8/35. Through love
we should become slaves of one another Gal 5/13. Husbands should love
their wife. Eph 5/25. We should not love the world 1Jn 2/15.
God is Love 1Jn 4/8. The most beautiful text of Paul 1Cor 13.
The
name of Lucifer means 'the one who shines' or 'bearer of light'. The Bible also
calls him the son of dawn. Lucifer has been created by God for the final goal
of being destroyed. The Message of the Bible addressing the people of God gives
very few revelations on this character. Yet, one knows enough to say that he
became the enemy of God and thus our enemy. See
Devil. We also know that he has been defeated by Jesus-Christ at the cross.
That he is a lier and that his rights are limited. He is doing a work which
deceives him. He is not omnipresent. He is but a spirit. One day we shall see
him and we shall be amazed to see that he was just that. Ezek 28/17-19.
It is Lucifer who, after his fall in the pre-mortal existence, became Satan.
