Jesus-Christ
gave the keys of the Kingdom to Peter. Matt 16/19. It is with these
keys that Peter opened the gate of the Kingdom of God to the Jews on the day
of pentecost. The keys of Peter are still the same that we use to open the gate
of the Kingdom to people who want to convert to Lord Jesus-Christ in order to
be born again see born again.
to
repent
to
be baptised (immersed) in the name of the Lord Jesus-Christ for the forgiveness
of sins.
To
receive the Holy-Spirit.
To
renounce the life of the perverse generation in which we had been living so
far and live in Community to live the life style willed by Jesus-Christ.
Acts 2/38-46; Lk 14/33; Ps 133, Acts 4/32/37. See Communion;
Annanias..
Peter
also opened the gate to the non-Jews. It was in the house of Cornelius. See
Cornelius.
Jesus-Christ, upon leaving the underworld together with captives whom he had just delivered, took the keys of death and of the underworld with Him. Since then, He has kept the keys with him. Eph 4/8-10. Rev 1/18.
The
Kingdom of God on the earth is his Church. But this is not a particular religious
denomination. The Kingdom of God is found where Jesus-Christ is obeyed, where
He is king.
The
mission of the church is to guide, by the ministries of the Word, the saints
to the perfect stature of Jesus-Christ so that they may live in the Kingdom
of Heaven.
Il is true that the Bible sometimes calls the Church: the Kingdom of Heaven. It is to help us understand that where two or three are gathered according to the Holy Sceiptures, there is the Kingdom of Heaven on the earth Matt 18/19.
God
is king Ps 10/16 Ps 11/4. God will set up a Kingdom which shall never
be destroyed Dan 2/44. Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand
Matt 3/2. Matt 4/17. Your kingdom come Matt 6/10. Seek first the
Kingdom of God Matt 6/33. Peter has received the keys which open the
gate of the Kingdom to the Jews and to the Gentles. See keys.Matt
16/19. Come and inherit the Kingdom prepared for you Matt 25/34.
The Lord's supper will be taken in the Kingdom of the father Matt 26/26-29.
We shall see all the prophets in the Kingdom of God Lk 13/28. The perishable
will not inherit the Kingdom of God 1 Cor 15/50.
There
are two Books in the Bible which tell the story of Israel since the revolt of
Adonia, the fourth son of David until the captivity of Judah. This portion of
the story takes place between 1015 BC to 586 BC. Here we find all the stories
which took place in the Norhtern Kingdom, i.e., in the ten tribes since the
division of Israel in two kingdoms until the deportation by the Assyrians.
1
Kg Ch 1, the lasts
days of the king David. Ch 2-11 Solomon. Ch 12-16 Roboam and
Jeroboam. It is Jeroboam who will cause the separation of the kingdom of Israel.
Other kings are also mentioned. Ch 17-21, the ministry of Elijah is
partly told. We find the warnings of Elijah to king Achab. Ch 22, a
war against Syria. In this war, Achab, king of Israel and Josaphat, king of
Judah unite. Micah prophesies against the kings. God sends a spirit of lie in
the prophets.
2
Kg Ch 1 to 2/11, the following of the life of the prophet Elijah and his
rapture in a whirlwind. Ch 2 -9 Ministry of Elisha characterized by
his great faith. Ch 10 the king Jehu, the death of the house of Achab
and of the sacrificators of Baal. Ch 11-13. The king Joas the just and
the death of Elisha. Ch 14-17 several kings of Israel and of Judah,
the most part are wicked. Ch 15 the capture of the ten tribes of Israel
by the Assyrians. Ch 18-20 The life of Ezekias the just king of Judah.
The life of the prophet Isaiah. Ch 21-23 the king Manasse and the king
Josias. Restoration of the law. Ch 24-25 The captivity in Babylon.
Knowledge
is more than science. Knowledge is relation.
To
know a woman is to have a relation through which we unite with her. See
marriage.
When
God says: 'I never knew you', Matt 7/23, it does not mean that
God did not know that those people existed. He simply never had any relation
with them. They were strangers to him. Someone who is not known of God cannot
be a child of God. See Cain.
But
the opposite is not true.
A
child of God may not be known by God. If, after having walked his whole life
without God, he ever hears God's voice, he will recognize the voice of the Good
Sheperd and will start to follow him. Jn 10/27.
On
the other hand, if he does not hear him, he cannot follow him. He cannot have
a relation with God. He cannot know him. Yet, this does not change anything
in his nature. If he is a child of God, God knows him.
God
has written his name in the Book of Life since the foundation of the world
Eph 1/4; Rev 17/8, and on the judgment day, he will be saved. Rev 20/15.
At this moment, He will know, like us, as He has been known. 1 Cor 13/12.
Now, knowledge is also a science. God knows everything 1 Sam 2/3. Job 37/16. The starting point of knowledge Pro 1/7. To keep God's words is to have science Pro 17/27. The clerics of all times took some delight in taking away the key of science Luke 11/52. It was in order to rule over the people and oppress them, by frightening them. The love of Christ is beyond all knowledge Eph 3/19. Knowledge is the second thing we should add to our faith in building the pyramid 2 Peter 1/ 6. See pyramid.
