second twin of Isaac and Rebecca. Gn 25/19-26. He got the birthright
in the place of his brother see Esau.
Esau despised his birthright and this is how Jacob got it. Gn 25/30-34;

JAMES. N.T.
It
is the son of Alphee. He is one of the twelve apostles of Jesus-Christ. See
apostle. Matt 10/3. Mk 3/18. Lk
6/15. Acts 1/13.
JAMES.
N.T.
The
son of Zebedee, and a brother of John, he is one of the twelve apostles of Jesus-Christ.
He is part of the team of the three apostles chosen by Jesus-Christ to live
some special experiences, (Peter, James and John). Resurrection of the daughter
of Jairus Mk 5/37. The transfiguration Matt 17/1; Mk 9/2;
Lk 9/28. He is at Gethsemane Matt 26/37. Mk 14/33. See Gethsemane.
JAMES.
N.T.
The brother of Jesus-Christ. Son of Mary and Joseph. See Mary. Gal 1/19. He had other brothers too, Simon and Jude, as well as a few sisters Matt 13/55-56. Mk 6/3. Jd 1. He had an important role in the primitive Church of Jerusalem (in the Community of life of Jerusalem.) He was called James the Just Acts 12/17; 15/13; 1 Cor 15/7. Gal 2/9-12.
The
letter of James is probably from him. His letter was adressd to the twelve tribes
of Israel scattered in the world. It was certainly written in Jerusalem.
It
is in this letter that we find the important adice to ask the wisdom to God
if one lacks Jn 1/5-6. The ch 2 talks mainly about faith and works. The
ch 3 and 4 of the necessity to control one's tongue. The ch 5 exhorts to be
patient and to call the elders when one is sick. See Heal,
laying on of hands..
JAPHET. O.T.
Son
of Noah. See Noah. Gn 5/32; 6/10.
He entered with his spouse in the ark of his father. Gn 7/13-15. And
he came out of it Gn 9/18. His possessions are extended Gn 9/27.
See
envy. This word has two meanings in the
Bible. It is, first, to be fervent and have strong feelings of a great depth.
God is a jealous God Ex 20/5. He is jealous of His name Ezek 39/25.
See Jehova. God is moved by a strong jealousy for Jerusalem
and for Zion Zach 1/14.
Second,
to be jealous is to envy someone or fear that someone gains an avantage. It
is to be suspicious. Jealousy induces fury Prov 6/34. The brothers of
Joseph are jealous of him Gn 37.
JEHOVA. YAHWEH.
A
disciple of Jesus-Christ cannot be a witness of Jehova. He can only be the witness
of Jesus-Christ. Acts 1/8. Yet, it is exactly the same thing since Jehova
and Jesus-Christ are the same Person.
The word 'Jehova' means the Eternal I AM Ex 3/14. Jn 8/58. Jehova is Jesus the Creator. He is the Word which was not yet made flesh. Jehova is the first-born of all creation. Col 1/15-16. God, in his inaccessibility is named Jesus. He has talked and this was the first creation. Then this Word has created all things by and for itself. Then this Word was made flesh and has dwelled with us: Emmanuel. See Emmanuel. Therefore the Word made flesh is not a person distinct from God. The Word made flesh is God manifested so that he can redeem us. God is not mortal. What caused Jesus-God to die is that he took upon himself our sins. He became mortal. He died because of this. But God cannot die. It is the Lamb of God who died. The Spirit of God went to proclaim the Gospel in the underworld during three days and has brought with Him the spirits which were with him, but which were in prison, beaten with strokes Lk 12/47-48. Because of the incredulity which they had showed during their earthly life. See Baptism. Justice
God,
in His inaccessiblity is named Jesus. The Word made flesh has come to reveal
this. Jn 17/6. ''I have made your name known to the men you took
from the world to give me.'' see YHWH.
Paul
clearly teaches that Jehova, the one who walked with the people of Israel in
the desert, was Jesus-Christ. 1 Cor 10/1-4.
But
when one wants to be trinitarian at all cost... one accepts anything and one
says to those who refuse to believe anything:
''Oh!
you refuse the Mystery of the Holy-Trinity!? oh! this is enough for me not to
see you as a brother!''
What
a divine love!
As
for me, I simply warn you: ''Be careful! God is jealous of His name!'' see Jealousy.
Remember, I love you as brothers and sisters victims of Babylon. See Babylon.
