EMMANUEL.
N.T.
Jesus
is the name of God. And God with us is Emmanuel.
The
word ''Emmanuel'' means ''God with us''
When
the angel (the messenger) of God came to Joseph, he told him that the child
whom Mary was bearing had the Holy Spirit as a father Matt 1/21. (The
trinitarians will notice that the father of Jesus is not God the Father, but
the Holy Spirit...)
The
angel told Joseph that he should give the child the name of Jesus to fulfill
the prophecy which said he would be called Emmanuel. Matt 1/ 21-23.
Imagine
that you receive the visit of an angel and he tells you:
''You
will have a son. You will give him the name of Roger to fulfill the prophecy
saying he would be called Norbert!''
You
would be perplex, would you not?
Well
... read the text! It is exactly what happened! (if we except the names Roger
and Norbert!)
So
what? Why did the angel speak this way?
It
is simple. The angel came to announce to Joseph that the father of Jesus was
the Holy Spirit and that this child would be God with us on the earth.
Jesus
is God with us!
Or,
if you prefer: Jesus is Emmanuel.
It
is so simple yet, that the clerics have mixed up everything. They found it strange,
and thus added to the mystery by telling a story of trinity which is not even
mentioned in the Holy Bible.
Let
us remain simple please, and let us speak based on the Holy Bible only.
The
Bible says that Jesus is God in the flesh with us. Jn1:1-2 and Jn 1/14.
Jesus
is of the bosom of the father Jn 1/18 though Matt 1/21 tells
us that the father is the Holy Spirit. The trinitarians had better think about
it...
Everything
is complicated when we believe in the trinity and all the Scriptures become
clear when we believe what it says: ''Hear!O Israel There is only one God!''
(But
I advise the readers who are pastors or priests (or pope) not to dig in these
matters too much, because they may lose their job and hence their wages if they
start to believe what the Bible says.)
Andyet,
you should read Matt 10/34-39.
See
World.
It is antagonism, hostility, hatred. It is what the seed of the devil feels before the seed of God. See Cain. It is God who put enmity between the serpent and the woman and between the posterity of the woman (Jesus-Christ and his people) and the posterity of the serpent (Cain, Judas and all the descendants of the race of the serpent.) Gen 3/16.
But
the affection of the flesh is enmity against God Rm 8/7. The love of
the world is enmity against against God Jm 4/4.
ENOCH.
O.T.
Enoch
is the seventh since Adam. Jude 1/14. He would be the eighth if one would
count Cain as a son of Adam. See Adam.
Cain. Chosen.
You thus cannot believe that Cain is son of Adam. You should believe what the
Bible says. 1 Jn 3/12, even if it does not fit with your credo.
Enoch
was faithful and was thus living by faith. He received from God the testimony
that he was pleasing Him just before being taken up in heaven. Likewise for
the humble Bride of Christ. Enoch was the son of Metuschela Gn 5/18. Lk 3/37.
See Genealogy. Enoch had a very important
ministry and we have two books of him. These two books were considered as Apocryphs.
See Apocryphal. But Jude certainly
took it as inspired by God since he quotes a prophecy of Enoch in his book
Jude 14-15. This prophecy is found in the first book of Enoch, Ch 1,
verse 9. See Jude. Apocryphal.
Dispensation. Scriptures.
As
for me, I believe that Enoch was inspired by God , but that, from time to time,
He was saying things which came from him, somehow like the prophet William Branham
when He affirms that the men have one rib less than women, since God has taken
up a rib from Adam to create a helpmate in his likeness. Obviously men and women
have the same number of ribs. This simply comes from the fact that the prophet
was a limited man and that no one is perfect but Jesus-Christ. See
John-the-Baptist who, after having presented Jesus-Christ as the Lamb of
God who takes away the sin of the world, is wondering if we should not wait
for another... Matt 11/3. Let the pastor who never said some 'strange'
words cast the first stone.
ENVY.
Love
is not envious. 1 Cor 13/4. Envy comes from pride 1 Tim 6/4.
When we don't feel like helping others, we are in sin. See
Mutual aid. Envy is thus always evil.
EPHESIANS.
N.T.
Letter
of Paul to the saints who are in the Communitys of Ephesus.
This
letter contains precious teachings. See teach.
The Ch 2 and 3 show the transformations which take place in those who
become members of the Body of Christ, which is the Community. The ch 4 to
6 talk of the role of the apostles and of the prophets. They also brief
us about the necessity of unity. We also should carry the weapons of God.
EPHRAIM.
O.T.
The
second son of Joseph and Asnath Gen 41/50-52. 46/20. 1 Ch 5/1-2. Jer 31/9.
It is Ephraim who received the blessing of the birthright instead of his brother
Manasse Gen 48/17-20. He became the father of his tribe.
ESAU.
O.T.
Son
of Isaac and Rebecca. Esau is the twin brother of Jacob. They are rivals even
before their birth. Gen 25/19-26. From Esau came the Edomites. They
have always been the rival nations of the descendants of Jacob: Israel.
ESTHER.
O.T.
Servant
of the Lord with a very strong faith. A book of the Old Testament tells the
life of this queen. Esther is a Jewish daughter who had been adopted by a Jew
named Mardochee. Because of her beauty, she had been chosen to be the queen
of Persia. A decree was issued ordering the assassination of the Jews. Esther
revealed her nationality at the risk of her life and obtained the revocation
of the decree.
A
disciple of Jesus-Christ has received the order to estimate the others as if
they were above himself. Ph 2/3. This is called respect. Jesus-Christ,
on earth was not estimated by the clerics Is 53/3-4.
Jesus
estimated others so much that he spent his life serving them.
Jesus-Christ
has the Words of the eternal life Jn 6/68. The eternal life is that they
know you, the only true God and likewise to know Jesus-Christ Jn 17/3.
Does it mean that we should know two? No! there is only one true God. But if we don't know Jesus-Christ, God come in the flesh, if we don't believe that he came to give his life on the cross, we are still in our sins. It is why we should believe in the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of God living in us. See Heavenly Father. Holy Spirit. Jesus-Christ. Trinity. Fight the good fight of the faith and lay hold of the eternal life 1 Tim 6/12.
It is the person who proclaims the good News of the salvation in Jesus-Christ. We all have the ministry of the reconciliation 2 Cor 5/18.
It
is the ministry outside the facilities of the Community. The Evangelist goes
where he can find the sinners lost in the world.
Jesus
was the greatest Evangelist of the world. The clerics found fault in the fact
that he often befriended the people who were not very commendable according
to their religious norms. Did not some people drop unexpectly when Jesus entered
the houses where prostitutes and thieves were gathering!? (What a shame!!) Jesus
had to be a sinner!
Evangelist
is one of the five ministries given for the edification of the Community.
Eph 4/11. Do the work of an evangelist 2Tim 4/5.
All
disciples of Jesus-Christ without exception are absolutely called to evangelize.
When a person, man or woman knows he/she is saved, he/she has the right to stay
on earth only in order to be able to witness of the one who saved them. This
testimony must be sufficiently clear for the audience to understand and turn
to Jesus-Christ with all their heart. There is no need for the churches to organize
the special gatherings of Evangelization. The disciples of Jesus-Christ should
be able to guide the sinners to Jesus-Christ where they are: on the workplace,
in the street, in their family etc ... If the churches organize gatherings of
Evangelization, it is a good thing. It must remain the exeption however. Each
disciple of Jesus-Christ is mandated by the Lord to reconcile the sinners with
God 2 Cor 5/18.
More
than all the theological teachings, what will make the Christians mature in
joy, is the practice of Evangelization where the sinners are. See Responsibility.

EVE.
O.T.
It
is the first woman. Gn 2/21-25; 3/20. Her name means ''life''. Eve is
the mother of all the human beings. She gave a son to the serpent, Cain and
a son to Adam, Abel. They were twins. See Adam,
Devil .
See
Spirit.
EXODUS.
O.T.
It
is a book written by Moses. It is the story of the coming of Egypt.
Ch
1-15 Israel suffering in Egypt. Moses starts his ministry, the Passover,
the Red Sea, the pharaoh's army destroyed and the song of Moses.
Ch
15-18 trip from the Red Sea to mount Sinai, Mara, the quails, the manna,
the observance of the Sabbath, the water of the Rock of Horeb, war against the
Amalecites, Jethro and his councils.
Ch
19-40 consecration of Israel in the service of God, the '10 commandments',
instructions for the Tabernacle. Sin of the people who worship the golden calf,
report about the construction of the Tabernacle and the service in the Tabernacle.
In
the Biblical sense, to expiate is to undergo the punishment for an act of transgression.
To be punished relieves the sinner and allows him to reconcile with God.
But
since the law of God was that the soul which sins must die, somone worthy had
to die, see Worthy. Substituting for
the sinners in the punishment. Otherwise, all should die, since all have sinned.
The
only person worthy of substantial atonement was God Himself in a flesh similar
to that of sin. Jesus the Messiah was God veiled in a flesh similar to ours.
He has lived his life without commiting sin and He has offered His life in our
place dying on the cross.
The blood of the New Covenant Matt 26/28. Jesus gives his flesh fort the salvation of the world Jn 6/51. Jesus-Christ became, for all those who obey Him, the author of their eternal salvation Heb5/9. We are set apart by the spilling of the blood of Jesus-Christ Heb 9; 10/1-10. The sacrifice of Jesus need not be reiterated. (The mass is thus an abomination) Jesus-Christ endured punishment once for our sins 1 Peter 3/18. The precious blood of Jesus-Christ purifies us of all sin 1Jn 1/7.
EYE.
It is the symbol of your capacity to receive or not the light of God. Your eye is your look on the sacred things of God. The commandments of God are pure and they enlighten the eyes Ps 19/9. The foolish have eyes and don't see Jer 5/21. Mk 8/18. The eye is the lamp of your body Matt 6/22. Lk 11/34. Happy are your eyes because they see Matt 13/16. The illumination by the eyes of the heart Eph 1/17-18. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own eyes Is 5/21
EZECHIAS.
O.T.
He
was king of Juda for 29 years. At this time, Isaiah was the prophet of Judea.
2Kg 18-20. 2 Ch 29/32. Is 36-39. The prophet helped Ezechias restore
order in the country. He eliminated idolatry and restored the holy service to
the Temple. His life was prolonged for 15 years thanks to the faithful prayer
2 Kg 20/1-7. In the beginning of his rule, he was prosperous. But he
caused two Assyrian invasions by rebelling against the king of this country
Is 10/24-32. and 2 Kg 18/13 to 19/7.
An
angel came to save Jerusalem during the second invasion 2 Kg 19/35.
EZEKIEL.
O.T.
Author
of the book of Ezekiel, prophet and sacrificator of the family of Tsadok. He
was among the prisonniers who were taken by the king Nebuccadnetzar. He prophesied
22 years in Babylon from 592 to 570 BC.
Ch
1-3 His vision and his call.
Ch
4-14 Concerning the judgments on Jerusalem and the reasons they were issued.
Ch
25-32 proclamation of the judgments against the nations.
Ch
33-48 The visions concerning Israel in the last days.
EZRA.
O.T.
Scribe
and sacrificator who took some Jews out of Babylon to guide them to Jerusalem.
Ez 7/12-26. What we can remember from the very precious life of Ezra,
is that he prepared the heart by fathoming the Good Word of the Lord. He obeyed
the word and taught it to others. Ez 7/10.
Ch
1-6 describe the events before the arrival of Ezra in Jerusalem: the decree
of Cyrus in 537 BC and the return
of the Jews under Zorobabel. Ch 7-10 How Ezra went to Jerusalem. He
fasted with his friends and prayed to be protected. In Jerusalem they met Jews
who had come with Zorobabel and who were defiled by marrying out of the Covenant
with God. He organized the divorces.
A disciple of Jesus sets his faith in God through Jesus-Christ. The faith is also the firm trust in the realization of what we hope, it is the way to already possess things in advance. It is to be absolutely certain of the realities that at present remain unseen. Heb 11/1.
A
disciple of Jesus must be confident that what he says will happen. Mk 11/23.
Faith
comes when one hears, understands, a word of God. Rm 10/14-17.
Not
because you see miracles you will have faith.
Faith
produces miracles and all the things that God wants to give to his people. The
forgiveness of God is received with faith. It is not your faith which saves
you, it is God. But without faith in God who saves, you cannot be saved.
Those
who are justified by God live by their faithfulness Hab 2/4.
Your
faith has healed you Matt 9/22.
You
faith deserves it, so let this be done to you Matt 9/29.
Your faith like the size of a mustard seed, and all is possible Matt 17/20. Lk 17/6.
Faith
in the name of Jesus gives strength Acts 3/16.
If
Jesus-Christ is not resurrected, our faith is vain 1 Cor 15/14.
Faith
does not operate without Love Gal 5/6.
We are saved by the grace of God, through the means of faith. Eph 2/8.
Faith
is a shield Eph 6/16.
Paul kept the faith until the end of his path 2 Tim 4/7.
Withou
faith, it is impossible to please God Heb 11/6.
Faith
must go with works, lest it is dead Jm 2/17-18.
This
fall was planned. It was scheduled by God. Before the foundation of the world,
He had already thought of the salvation of his people. Eph 1/4.
This
fall could take place only insofar as a law was given to Adam. It is the law
''You will not kill...'' which makes sin appear. Rm 4/15. See
Law. Eve. Cain.
The
fall is not a story of apple. It is a story of relation between the serpent
and Eve. Cain was born of this relation. 1 Jn 3/12. See Cain.
(The
missing link is the serpent. He does not exist anymore as he was in the Garden
of Eden. Therefore scientists are at pains to find it. He was standing and could
talk, he resembled humans very much Gn 3/14.)
Ever
since, the human race has reproduced as the animals do (sexually). Before the
fall, God wanted to be the procreator Spouse of all. And all should have grown
and multiplied Gn 1/28, having with God a spiritual relation like God
had with Adam the virgin Gn 2/21-23 or with Mary the virgin. Matt
1/20.
The
plan of God did not change: he became the Spouse of His little Bride drawn from
the church. He will take her up and the wedding will take place during the great
tribulation which will be unleashed on earth. Rev 19/7.
We
should not heap reproaches over Eve or Adam through our judgments. Both were
predestined to go through this stage which, one the one hand is a fall and on
the other hand is the first step in our elevation.
This
is because God could be the Savior provided He had somebody to save.
In
the Absolute, besides space and time which He was about to create, God was the
Savior. But He had to create a reality in which He will be able to manifest
this.
For
example:
You
have the knowledge that you are kind, but as long as you have not showed your
kindness for somebody, your kindness remains abstract, conceptual.
It
is the same for God. For His Divine attributes to be manifested, He needed a
partner. He needed the opposite, He needed...
Sick
people in order to be The Healer,
Lost
people to be The Savior...
etc...
God,
besides the time and the space which He would create, spoke. And this was the
beginning. In the beginning was the Word Jn 1/1.
The
Word was the first creation. Time came at the same 'time'.
God,
in his Absolute, beyond time and space had a counterpart. Therefore, it is written.
''The Word was with God, and the Word was God.'' Jn 1/1.
Because
God, and what God says... is God. The Word of God is divine. It cannot be less
than this. It is therefore written: ''It was in the beginning with God.''
The
Word was divine, God. But The Word was WITH God because it came out of Him.
It
came out of Him, but it was not against Him, it was Him. (in unity) Not as another
person, or an under-God, but as the first creation of God.
We
must realize that as soon as it came out of God, the Word was no longer out
of time. Because, from the moment there is a beginning of the word until the
moment when this same word is finally pronounced, there has been a flow of time.
This is how time began.
It
is therefore written: ''In the beginning... ''in Jn 1/1.
The
beginning, means when the Word came out of God who had never done it before.
Therefore Paul will say that Jesus, who is the Word made flesh, is the first-born
of all the creation. Col 1/ 15-16.
Then,
the Word created all things. It is Gn 1/1 which says it. ''In the
beginning, God created the Heavens and the earth. ''The space in which things
evolve then started to exist.
When
God created, He did this and then that. And between ''this and that ''there
was space.
In
this creation, we evolve in this famous space, but we cannot evolve in time.
Time always seems to be the present. Though we know that there was a past and
there will be a future, yet we cannot travel in the past or in the future. See
Choose.
The
only machine to travel in time.
The
only machine to travel in time (in the year 2001) is the telescope. It enables
us to see the stars which, actually, don't exist anymore. Thus, we can really
see in the past, but we cannot go there. We are, as I said, clogged in the time.
And it is a good thing. Thus, we are forced to understand that our small conception
of freedom is a very unreal thing. Because, as for God, He looks a things and
''moves ''in the time which He created very differently. For Him, nothing is
surprising. He 'has' everything in Himself. What we call the present as well
as what we call the future or the past. Nothing is foreign to Him.
We
admit today that some animals don't see the world surrounding us the same way
as we do. We admit that some rays cannot be seen. That some sounds cannot be
heard. But we keep believing that God sees as we see. We keep our belief that
God considers the past like us with his memories... It is pride indeed!
And
we should also understand that God does not look at the future through His imagination.
We do it, but not Him, who already sees all things in advance. Not only because
He knows everything, but because He is sovereign and, having created all things
with a very precise goal, no personal fantasy may disturb His plan. God is a
God of order who loves His people because they belong to Him. and He created
others so that we allow Him to be manifested as our Savior in this world where
all things are relative. See adversity.
Now,
''everything is relative'' means: which is not Absolute, which depends on something
else.
The
entire universe created by the Lord our God is relative. It depends on Him.
And nothing in this universe can evolve on its own. All things are interdependant.
Nothing is left to chance.
It
does not mean that we have no 'choice' to do in life. We are constantly making
choices. But the child of God knows he is guided by God and he recognizes the
Lord in all his paths. Pro 3/6. He omits no Word in the Bible and strives to
put them in practice, thus demonstrating whom he belongs to.
The
disciple of Jesus-Christ does not believe in chance, randomness or coincidences.
The disciple of Jesus-Christ believes in God. He is neither fatalist, nor 'defeatist'.
He loves to be in the hands of God. This reassures him and gives him a peace
which the 'free'' world cannot give.
About
the beginning... There are many others things to say; but the following seems
very important to our era:
All
the Bible students know that the word 'God' in Gn 1/1 is plural. Therefore,
they already started to build their scaffoldings of the trinity from that moment.
There are no three Gods. There is only one God who creates Himself. He does
not create an under-God. He SPEAKS and this simply makes Him the creator. Before
He started to speak, He had never spoken. Ever since he started to speak, it
was the beginning of the creation.
Well,
the first creation of God was Himself. He created the Logos, the Verb, the Light,
the Energy, and the one who later became flesh, i.e. Jesus-Christ who is the
Image of God. Col 1/15.
Whatever
He created, He did for Himself, with a purpose, and He even created Satan and
his disciples for the day of misfortune and of perdition Pro 16/4 and
Rm 8/14-23.
1
There is thus the father who is the creator of the first creation.
Col 1/15. This first creation is itself in the system outside the Absolute.
The father is beyond space and time, in the inaccessible.
2
There is the Holy-Spirit who is the Spirit of God who comes to live in
the believer. The Holy-Spirit is not no other person but God Himself who comes
to dwell, to tabernacle in us.
3
And there is the Son, Jesus-Christ who is the image of the invisible
God. It is by the son that all things were created and it is for Himself that
He created all things. Col 1/16.
If
you understand the trinity this way, so do I: God is one and is manifested in
three different ways.
And
the fall in all that!?
What we call the fall is thus a disguised elevation. We know it and we wait, with all the creation, the manifestation of what we really are. 1 Jn 3/2.
