Conscience is not the perfect standard of the disciple of Jesus-Christ. It can be weak 1Cor 8/10. Some have lost their conscience 1 Tim 1/19. Conscience can accuse us Jn 8/9.
It
can be pure 2 Tim 1/3.
A
disciple must listen to his conscience, but is not obliged to obey it at all
times. It could act as a deceiver. Only the Word of God is infallible. In a
country where the law allows what the Bible forbids (example: to harm oneself
through smoking) the disciple must listen to his conscience which tells him
to do what the Bible says. 1 Cor 3/16. In the Community of Jesus-Christ,
no one is allowed to be, and even to be called the director (of conscience)
of another. Matt 23/10.
Conscience
is what is within us, it accuses or defends us. It serves as a law for whoever
does not know the good law of God. Rm 2/14 - 16. See
White Throne.
The
clerics accused by their conscience Jn 8/9. The testimony of the conscience
Rm 2/14-15. The clerics who withdraw or add something to the Word of
God bear the mark of infamy in their conscience 1 Tim 4/2.
The
Consolator is Jesus-Christ himself. Jn 14/18. But this is not the Jesus-Christ
that the twelve had known. Therefore Jesus told them: ''The father will send
you another Comforter... The Spirit of Truth... you know him because He is with
you..., he is in you... I will come back to you... you will know that... I am
in you.'' Jn 14/15-21.
Who
was with them while they were hearing about these things? Jesus-Christ.
Who
has been living with them since the pentecost? The Consolator, who is the Spirit
of Truth, who is Jesus.
The
Holy-Spirit is another consolator, for He was no longer as they had known him.
2 Cor 5/16. They had known Jesus-Christ in the flesh (In a body which
was with them) and now, they knew him as a spirit. (The Holy-Spirit which was
in them) but it was the same God who was in communion with them.
(Don't
say it is complicated! What is complicated, is to believe a incredible mystery
which the Bible does not even refer to. Pray and God will guide you).
Change
of belief and thus of life to start doing what God wants according to the Scriptures.
When
we convert, we willingly give up our old way of life and become a disciple of
Jesus-Christ. A disciple disciplines himself to obey Jesus-Christ and give up
the will of the flesh. It is what Jesus said Matt 18/3. Luke 22/32. To
convert seems to be an act of will, but in reality, it is God who calls those
whom He wants and who gives them the will and the power. Rm 8/29-30. Jn
6/44.
CORINTHIANS.
NT
There
are two letters to the Corinthians. They are dictated by God to the Apostle
Paul to correct what was wrong in their Communities.
There
were several communities in Corinth. (Like in Jerusalem, actually. Can you imagine
more than 3 000 people living in only one house?) See
communion. Some were richer than others and the richest had a wrong behaviour
toward the less favoured during the greats suppers where they gathered from
time to time. 1 Cor 11/20-22.
They
had lost their first love.
For them, Paul wrote what is probably the most beautiful passage of the letters 1 Cor 13, regarding what Love is. There are also rich teachings on the surpernatural gifts 1 Cor 12 and 14.
He was a centurion in the town of Cesarea. It is generally understood that Lydia was the first pagan to convert to Jesus-Christ. Acts 16/14, but Cornelius more likely, seems to have been the first Acts 10.
Peter,
who had the keys of the Kingdom, had opened the gate to the Jews. Acts 2/38-46.
With Cornelius, the keys are used to open the gates of the Kingdom to the non-Jewish.
From
now on, we have to do what Peter was doing, teach what he was teaching. Peter
was actually teaching what he had received from the Lord Jesus-Christ. Matt
28/19-20. Ask yourself: ''Why did Peter teach to baptise in the name of
the Lord Jesus-Christ, when the Lord had asked to baptise in the Name of the
father, the son and the Holy-Spirit?'
Is
it not because the name of the father, the son and the Holy-Spirit is Jesus!?
Why is ''the name'' in the singular, if they are three distinct persons?!!
1
Will you ask the question?
2
Will you ask the question to trinitarian clerics,
3
or will you ask the question to the Lord so that he answers you?...
In
the construction of a building, there was a cornerstone which was said to be
the main stone.
This is the very stone that those who baptised rejected Ps 118/22. Matt 21/42-44. Mk 12/10. Lk 20/17. Acts 4/10-12.
It
is the moment when God and us have decided, in the pre-mortal life, what we
should be and do on this earth.
Job,
like us, had forgotten his pre-mortal life. God reminded him. And when he asks
the question: ''Where were you at this moment?'' Job 38/4; the answer
is in his sentence. Job was with God, shouting for joy! Job 38/7. We
rejoice to come on earth to glorify God, and it is what we do, thus showing
the infinite variety of God's wisdom Eph 3/10.
It
is there that Lucifer decided to put himself above God Is 14/12-13.
A
Jewish oral tradition says that when we enter the world, at the moment of our
birth, God puts his finger on our lip and says: ''sh!'' This tradition says
that at this moment, God erases from our memory whatever concerns our pre-mortal
life. According to this tradition, the little mark between our nose and our
superior lip is the mark of God's finger. But once again, it is only a nice
tradition, not a doctrine!
The
best advice for the church of our time is the one given in Rev 3/17-22.
Virile,
energetic, firm, determined. We should not give in to fear. Have courage
Deut 31/6. We did not receive a spirit of timidity 2 Ti 1/7. Order
of Paul 1 Cor 16/13.
It
is an agreement between God and us. But the Covenant which God made with us
does not put us on an equal stand with Him. It is obvious that God sets His
conditions. We have to accept the clear points of His Covenant. 2 Sam 23/5.
When we respect these points, God fulfills for us what He promised against our
obedience.
A
person who commits herself in the waters of baptism (by immersion and in the
name of the Lord Jesus-Christ, according to Acts 2/38) pledges to honor
all the points of the Covenant with God's help. The washing of feet followed
by the Lord's Supper are divine ordinances which enable us to renew our covenant
with God. See Ordinances We believe
that we are the people of the Covenant and we have faith that we are in the
benediction of God as long as we keep the points of this Covenant. Then, whatever
may happen to us, we firmly believe that all these things contribute to our
welfare. Rm 8/28-32.
God
established His Covenant with us Gn 6/18. We are a people apart as long
as we keep His Covenant Ex 19/5. We should not make any covenant with
foreign Gods (for instance worship Virgin Mary or the trinity.) Ex 23/32.
In all cases, God will never break His Covenant with us; Judges 2/1.
Through His coming in the flesh of a simple man, God showed that He remembered
His Covenant Luke 1/72.
This
means to envy someone or to have an excessive and licentious desire for something.
Ex 20/17 Rom 7/7. The people of our time covet 2 Tim 3/1-2.
About women (and the false church too); Pro 6/25. To look at a woman
lustfully is to commit adultery already Matt 5/28. Homosexual lust Rm 1/27.
Avid of the latest novelty 2 Tim 4/3-4.
