Présentation

We are a biblical community. We live as the first Christians, in Jerusalem lived.

Our community was created in 1977 by Michel Genton, borned in Switzerland in 1950, in the canton of Vaud.

M.Genton was converted during a meeting of evangelization realized to Vidy (near Lausanne) in the " House of the people " in 1968 by Raphaël Duval, a minister gypsy. This last one prayed for the patients and M.Genton saw the first miracles of its life. It was even invited to come to pray with Raphaël Duval for a blind person, who recovered the sight at once.

M.Genton studied at the biblical school of the Assemblies of God to Bièvres, then to that of Nogent-sur-Marne. He was evangelistic in the Parisian café-bars of "Teen-Challenge". He was ordered minister on November 7th, 1979, by T.L.Osborn to Tulsa ( Oklahoma). Two years previously, he decided to open his house, which is always today a biblical community. He wrote several works there. Since February, 2001, he shows a ministry of Conversions and of cures in Africa: he made missions in the Burkina Faso, in Côte d'Ivoire, in Togo, in Cameroon, or in Ghana.

Our lifestyle

Every person of the community has a work and each has its own bank account which it manages as he wants him. All share the expenses of the community life and help those who are in the difficulties.

Every family, every bachelor possesses her accommodation, according to her own needs. We meet ourselves all together in the cheerfulness around the meals, sharing the evenings, as any family in front of a good film, or speaking about our last day, or about our projects. It is often the occasion of laughter, to tell the last jokes.

We have no prohibited food, respecting what says the Bible:

" All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any "(1 Corinthians 6:12).

So, if some make diets, it is only for medical reasons or by personal choice.

The children go to the school of the village. Others are in the school or in the secondary school of the surroundings; others else pursue their studies in faculty in remote regions, which allow them only to bring in the weekend or during the holidays.

As for the family relations, we insist on the necessity of honoring his parents, as orders it the Bible. Some of us, formerly irritated with their family (before their conversion), became reconciled with them, thanks to the efforts of our minister and his wife. Besides, we often welcome them in the castle or we leave finding them on holidays.

Our meetings

We have two cults a week: Friday evening and Sunday morning. Every morning, at half past 5, the adults meet themselves in the lounge to pray and put their day in the hands of the Lord. The afternoon, another meeting of prayer takes place for the pensioners.

We pray every day for our government so that every person who has of the authority uses it with justice. We praise God for the law which is applied. We cannot approve the practised criminal facts, that they are committed by Catholics, Protestants, Muslims or members of sects.

Our doctrine

We have no religion. We are not connected with an official church or religious organizations. Our purpose is to share all that we understand of the Bible. We declare " to live simply what the Christians should live ", namely to love itself some the others and to forgive itself mutually when it needs there.

We live peacefully and practise no proselytism. We reject absolutely the naming of "sect" and do not claim to the exclusivity of the salute .We respect those who believe differently from us. But for us, to live otherwise our faith, would mean demoting,.returning behind.

The only model of Biblical Church lives the community life. It is the perfect model of what God wanted for His Church. He wanted a story of divine love between regenerated human beings.

Jesus Christ wanted a community Church; it is because of the hardness of the heart of the believers that he would have there come tolerate a "church-synagogue" (synagogue means: assembled).

The key of our community life is in the book of the Acts of the apostles, in chapter 2, from the verse 44:

" And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
